Is it “just” Heartburn?

Seasonal and H1N1 Flu Update: November 6, 2009
Due to a national shortage, St. Jude Heritage Medical Group no longer has Seasonal Flu Vaccine for adults and children 3 years of age and older, and we have been informed by the manufacturer they do not plan on sending us any additional vaccine. Pediatricians and Family Practitioners have a limited supply of Seasonal Flu Vaccine available for their pediatric patients under the age of 3. Please contact your child's doctor.
We have requested the H1N1 (Swine) Flu Vaccine from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), but we have not received the vaccine yet, and we are not sure of the amount we will receive. To learn more about the H1N1 Vaccine and virus, visit www.cdc.gov/H1N1.
Influenza is thought to be spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people. Take these actions to stay healthy and to keep those around you healthy:
| • |
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. |
| • |
Wash your hands often with soap and water. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub. |
| • |
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Germs spread this way. |
| • |
Stay home if you are sick. CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them. |
| • |
Follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoid crowds. |
| • |
Find healthy ways to deal with stress and anxiety. |
Please check web site daily for vaccine updates. |
